Tuesday Night 5-4-10

We all safely arrived in Roma this evening. Some of us who left from Pittsburgh have been traveling from 12pm Monday until 8pm Tuesday! (a 6-hour time difference doesn't help either) Tonight we were welcomed by our lovely tour guide Elizabetta and the Hotel Principe:


We enjoyed a three-course menu consisting of pasta (I feel a theme coming on), beef, and a chocolate cake for dessert. Of course, house wine complimented the meal. After a long day of traveling, we are all trying to get over our jetlag.

Also, it was Mike's birthday today so we serenaded him in Italian and English, complete with a candle.


Itinerary for the next 24 hours:
7:30a Breakfast is served.
9:00a Drive to downtown Rome for 3 Hrs sightseeing of the Vatican city
10:00a Meet Paolo at Via Fra Albenzio coach parking. Walk to Vatican Museum and get
in line.
10:30a the Vatican Museum
1:30p Balance of the day free in Rome for personal activities
3:4Sp Board the bus for transfer to area of the Panteon.
4:15 Walk from main street to Panteon
4:30 Enter Panteon for concert.
5:00-5:30pm Concert at the Pantheon in Rome
5:45 Bus transfer to Rome Baptist Church 6:30p Arrive at Baptist Church for concert 7:00 Concert at Rome Baptist Church
9:00 Dinner is served at the hotel
